This course explores the effective implementation of the various curricular subjects at Infant Level and examines best classroom management practices for infants.

In the course on Infant Education, we aim to improve teachers’ pedagogical skills in the context of teaching infants. Using the guiding principles of the Primary curriculum and the content of all the curricular areas, this course will assist teachers to integrate the different methodologies across the different subjects. This will result in teachers having gained practical advice and skills on using different ways of teaching and learning as espoused in the guiding principles of the curriculum to enhance their teaching of the infant curriculum.

• 5 fully interactive lessons complete with audio, links and exercises to complete
• A moderated discussion forum to answer course-related questions, share you experiences with your teaching colleagues and communicate with your facilitator
• A Reflective Learning Log where you reflect on your understanding of the course and how you will use it in your day to day teaching
• Completion of a course gives 3 EPV Days.  Your individual entitlement for EPV days should be checked with the DES.
• A course is expected to take 20 hours to complete
• Each course has a facilitator who will be in contact with you regularly and whom you can contact by email with any queries before or during the course
